We R Your Daily Rap

So one day I was sitting with my boy Dan enjoying some tasty beverages and he tells me about this idea he has for a website that serves up a funny ass rhyme once a day. I thought about it for a minute and realized it was a fantastically great idea. And me being a nerdy programmer with crazy freestyling skills I said, let's do this!

So we built a site. We create raps on a daily basis and encourage others to submit their rhymes in hopes of making this site a world renound time waster for millions every day.

You can help us realize our dreams by checking out the rap each day, commenting, and submitting your own work. Let's take our stand in favor of procrastination right here and right now!

Bumping

Clicking anywhere on the bump bar at the bottom of the page will give the current rap a bump. It's basically a "like" and lets us know how good the rap is based on a collective census. Raps that get a lot of activity (including views, bumps, and comments) will make the all-star team. That list will eventually run again in the all-star championship round where the winner will be printed on a shirt and put up for sale dirt cheap.

Commenting

Let's get the conversation going. We always welcome comments and feedback on our daily rhyme and as always, major bonus points for rhyming your comment. Contribute your thoughts by clicking the "Submit a Comment" button at the bottom of the page. Note that comments are limited to 500 characters in length; if you are feeling more talkative than that, we suggest you start a blog.

Submitting Raps and Rap Contests

We always welcome and encourage visitor submissions. Submit raps at any time by clicking the "Submit a Rap" button at the bottom of the screen. Our rhyme gurus will evaluate the rap for hilarity and our army of english teachers will evaluate grammar, punctuation, and meter to insure conformity to all traditionally accepted writing rules. If your rap cuts the mustard, we will feature it on the site for an entire day! Along with your name and any link you provide to your website, blog, twitter account, etc. Note that you can specify a text color and background color as well if desired.

On occasion we will host rap contests. If a contest is active, you will see a banner at the top of the page with instructions. Follow them closely and send us your best stuff. We are still working on the logistics, but at some point we will be offering prizes for rap contest winners. Of course we gotta get this thing off the ground first.
